

IFVV - French institute of vine and wine ![]()
The French Vine and Wine Institute results from the merging of two institutes dedicated to the wine industry: ENTAV and ITV France. According the 12th March 2007 inter-ministerial decree, this industrial technical center’s assignment is to conduct general range studies in the interest of the entire French wine sector, in the field of plant material selection, viticulture, winemaking and products’ setting in markets.
The head office is in Le Grau du Roi, near Montpellier. IFVV is also established in different French wine regions: Alsace, Aquitaine, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Champagne, Charentes, Sud-Ouest, Rhône-Méditerranée and Val de Loire. The institute represents more than a hundred persons.
The vocation of IFVV is to be a center of innovation, technology transfer and knowledge transmission destined to the French vine and vine sectors. Another of the IFVV missions is to help the cohesion between all the French R&D organisations in the vine and wine sectors, thanks to its relations with research and formation and to its adapted experimental devices.
Euroquality is a service provider established in 1997 specialised in Innovation, European research project administrative management and technology transfer. Main activities are consultancy in innovation, technology transfer, economical studies and policy evaluation, technological audits and the management of European research and development projects.
Euroquality has a great experience and high competencies in project management as it has co-ordinated more than 10 European research projects. It will assist IFVV in the administrative and financial management. Besides it will participate to the dissemination and to the elaboration, sending and review of the questionnaires during the surveys for the improvement and creation of standards.
INOXPA’s main business is designing, producing, assembling and marketing valves, pumps, agitators, mixers and stainless steel equipment to meet the needs of the food, wine, pharmaceutical and related industries.
In year 2000, INOXPA started the production of equipment for the wine industry. Thanks to its experience with a wide range of products and sectors, rapidly grew his knowledge and relevance in the wine market, introducing a wide range of new products
Since 2005, INOXPA started INOXPA SOLUTIONS as an Engineering Division able to design complete systems and its automation according to customer needs. We ready to do complete installations at customer's facilities.
The winemaking team is lead by a German making expert. Since very beginning, we have been co-operating with different universities, including Geisenheim (Germany) and Fresno (USA). We also have a winery (Espelt, Spain) as a partner as well.
INOXPA has the knowledge, experience and capacity to develop new products and systems that meet the newest requirements incoming to the market. Specially sensitive about environment, INOXPA is improving their products according to continuously reduce power, water, … and other product related to winemaking consumption.
E. Begerow GmbH main business is the production and sale of filtersystems for the beverage and food industry. The state of the art production facilities for filtersheets and filtermodules in germany gives the opportunity to specialise the products to the customers needs. Beside the production of filter materials the company create 2001 the division of process technology to offer the complete filtration equipment from the filtersheets and filter apparatus.
The development of BECOPAD a pure cellulose filter sheet started in 2003 and the finalisation of the product will be done 2009. Begerow has to different service laboratories, one for the analysis of beverages (wine, beer, sparkling wine, distillate, food) and one for the analysis of the raw materials for the filtersheet production, filtersheet analysis, analysis of unfiltrate and filtrate sample, ion measurement. Furthermore in the small scale Begerow has the opportunity to make scale up trials in our technology department.
With the new BECOPAD filter sheet, a new generation of product can be offered to the wineries. The microbiological retention rate is by far better, the savings in water and energy are reduced of 50% in comparison to kieselguhr containing filtersheets.
CEVI - European Confederation of independent winegrowers CEVI ![]()
CEVI, European Confederation of Independent Winegrowers, is the only international organisation that gathers and represents the European Independent Winegrowers.
Founded in 2002, CEVI is a young and dynamic association, which goal is to defend and represent a profession and its philosophy : the know-how and passion of the independent winegrowers.
Managers at the head of family businesses, producing and selling genuine and personalised wines, independent winegrowers created CEVI to defend and represent their interests on the European and international scene.
Independent winegrowers hold an important and essential place on the European wine sector. They are key actors of the rural life at various levels : environment, employment, tourism etc.
CEVI represents about 8000 independent winegrowers through its member associations from Portugal, Rioja, France, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Hungary, Switerzland and Italy.
CCVF - French Confederation of Wine Co-operatives ![]()
Since 1932, the CCVF gathers and represent co-operatives, in collaboration with regional and local French federations. The confederation represents French co-operatives at a national, European and international scale.
CCVF actions are mainly technical, juridical and fiscal. It is also a huge network of information in order to support co-operatives of small and medium exploitations.
Co-operative members produce the half of the French wine production. With a network of 870 co-operatives, i.e. 110,000 winegrowers with 400,000 ha of vineyards, CCVF is the largest organisation in terms of winegrowers. Due to the Confederation proficiency, the choice of CCVF in order to co-organise demonstration days in co-operative facilities and disseminate results in France is obvious.
The Italian Constitution and the existing regulation set the role of the Province as the intermediary body between Municipalities and the Region. Therefore, the Province takes care of the interests and promotes the development of provincial communities. In particular, the areas of activities and the sectors where they perform specific tasks are: food and agriculture, environment and soil conservation, tourism, civil protection, productive activities, hunting and fishing, infrastructures, education, vocational training, education and guidance, employment services, planning and land use planning, health and social services, sport and culture, transport and roads, data collection and processing, and technical, administrative assistance to local authorities.
The Province competencies are planning interventions carried out in close relationship with the region, without, however, undermine the municipal autonomy.
The Province, therefore, collects the various proposals from municipalities and co-ordinates for economic and territory planning and regional environment; contributes to the determination of the regional programme of development and other programs and regional plans, in agreement with the objectives of the regional plan, and adopt its multi-annual programmes both at general and sectorial level (territory plan coordination, etc.). The food and agriculture Councillorship and particularly the land and production enhancement Department role is to assist the various stakeholders with services and support to the sector development. The department is following the various aspects: economical, technical, social of the agricultural sector, promoting initiatives at various level and supporting the main actors to promote the local land and typical production enhancement.
HANGYA CO-OP ![]()
HANGYA (HU) is a Hungarian agricultural association. The association is established at 1998 by 14 marketing co-operatives now its members are near to 200 co-operatives. One of the strongest branch association of HANGYA's co-operatives dealing with winery including 25 co-operatives in different wine- area of Hungary. Strategic developments and services to its members in the agricultural sector are in the main focus of HANGYA’s interest. Within the services there is a new line since 2007 the advisory activity focusing to the cross- compliance requirements of CAP. In this line is very important the environment- friend technologies and new approach in the rural development. Therefore the association is highly motivated to adopt the updated technology to the Hungarian conditions. Based on this initiative the own resources mainly in kind contribution partly covered the internal communication, logistic and human capacities.
INCAVI - Vine and Wine Catalan Institute ![]()
INCAVI is a research institute and also supervises all 11 Appellations in Catalonia, including but not limited to D. O. Catalonia. That accounts for 5000 viticulturists and 450 wineries.
Technical activities of the Institute are: quality control of wine and spirits, development of actions in R&D focused on the wine sector, support & advice to the production and continuous training.
INCAVI has a strong experience in co-operation program. The Institute has already been involved in co-operation with the OIV as adviser in Expert Group concerning viticulture: Physiology, Selection, Clone Selection, Zoning, Plant pathology, and concerning wine production. Furthermore INCAVI is member of the Small and Medium Wine Business observatory, specialised in wine strategy and marketing.
INCAVI has both technical competencies, to co-organise, validate demonstrations, and network, to disseminate demonstration results and for replication.
The Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes, with the acronym of CVRVV, is an inter-professional organisation with the objective of representing the interests of the professions involved in the Vinho Verde production and trade, and in the defence of the regional or national inheritance of its Denomination of Origin. Legally, this institution is a regional association, a private corporate body of public interest, with undetermined duration.
The CVRVV has a particular importance in the development of the viticulture in the Region, with a research and development department dedicated to solving wine producer's problems.
Among its current tasks the following are worth special note:
• Selection of the recommended grape varieties for the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region by cloning;
• Study of new guiding systems;
• Study of root-stocks; of feeding and fertilising vines;
• Planting vines on terraces and studying the phenology and adaptation of the regional grape varieties.

CUB - Corvinus University of Budapest ![]()
CUB RIVE is the legal successor of the Institute for Ampelology, established in 1896 in Budapest, Hungary and the RIVEMARD(Research Institute of Viticulture and Oenology of the Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development, Kecskemet, Hungary).
The Government of Hungary has approved the following activities: research and development, consultation and education, including all the fields of the grape and wine industry. These fields are the followings: grapevine breeding, grapevine physiology, plant protection on grapevines, grapevine growing technology, wine technology, grape and wine chemistry, microbiology and wine economy.
CUB RIVE is housed at Kecskemét- Miklóstelep on the outskirts of the town, and has a Research Station at Katonatelep, near to Kecskemét. The Institute has at its disposal a total space of 284,728 m2, out of which 240 m2 is for laboratories for research and studies, the rest for free land experiments. The laboratories are equipped with partly modern technical tools, as GC-MS, HPLC, AAS, PCR, Gel-ELFO /CHEF/, OLGA Analyser, ELISA virus analyser, Lyophiliser. At present, the scientific body of the Institute in Kecskemét comprises 4 research units, including 2 laboratories and 2 experimental cellars. Currently, the permanent staff of the Institute in Kecskemét totals 56, including 13 scientists, 16 research assistants (assistants, engineers and technicians) and 27 administration and service personnel.

Defense of the interests of its members in legal matters and questions of regulation, as well as in technical, social, economic and administrative domains.Participation in viticultural development on the local, national and European levels. Formulation of economic measures and legislative reforms that serve the interest of independent wineries. Support the transfer of knowledge. The organization of large conferences and trade shows.
